K-pop is invading Malaysia

This is like a dream, no? To old/veteran Kpop fans in Malaysia they might notice how well-known Kpop is right now in Malaysia. So well known until one of the top radio station in Malaysia made a chart for Kpop songs! :D

As far as I remember, the first program that shows Kpop in our TV is MTV JK Hits. And then it's 8TV Nite Live, which almost all Kpop fans know. Kpop in our TV is like, very very rare. Then Nobody (I think Nobody was famous way before 8NL do Kpop segments though) became famous. Then comes Sorry Sorry. Anyone still remember how Moe and Mike danced to Sorry Sorry in 8TV Nite Live? It was hilarious! XD

Ah continuing, after that Asian Takeaway in MTV was shown. And then comes Super Show 2 in Malaysia. Yes. Since then you can see Kpop in newspapers. Well, before this they do write about some Kpop artist like Yoona and Hangeng (before SS2). But after the concert, where almost all major news write about, Kpop is getting more exposure. Probably because of the amount of fans here. And probably the number of hits in their online article *wink wink* I don't know LOL. But certainly it is, KPop is getting more exposure. \o/

I remember in Speedy @ Parkson, Miri last time, there was only Kpop cds from TVXQ (the reason why my first Kpop cd is 'T' loll) and some SuJu, and then Rain. THAT'S IT! But when I went there last time (I don't remember when), I saw CNBLUE, BigBang, Wonder Girls and many others. More than before. And that's in Miri okay, I'm sure in KL or big cities there are moreee. :D

You can also see more Korean songs in mobile providers music download site. Like caller ringtones for Digi and others. I did searched before for Kpop songs in Digi site and MOST are from Korean drama OSTs. Like OST from My Girl, Goong, Winter Sonata, etc. Now they have Kpop songs. Like the latest songs. Still couldn't beat Maxis/Hotlink's though. :3 There are like pagesss of SuJu caller ringtones (out of topic lol).

After SS2, it's quite obvious that more and more Korean singers/groups are coming. Well..in 2006 and 2007 we have one. In 2008 we have the fail FT Island concert. And then also in 2008 Paran and U-Kiss was supposed to come but they didn't come because of mis-communication. In 2009, there were an effort of bringing TVXQ back but I guess their schedule is too tight. But also in 2009, SS501 came to Malaysia for a while for a fansigning event. Oh ya, Rain did come. I don't remember when though x_x 2AM also came as a guest artist for the post-party (?) for MTV World Stage in Sunway Lagoon in 2009.

And then in 2010, SuJu come on March. It was a sold out. *-* And then, there were an effort of bringing like 3/4 Kpop groups here. Along with Beast and some-guy for fanmeeting but it was a failure and known as a scam. However, B2UTIES still get to see Beast after Universal Music decides to bring them for a showcase and fansigning here. KL Live was full of people, some even faint while queing (can't call that as queing though lmao). It was quite a success :D And then Brian Joo and U-Kiss come. Again, it's a success. And then comes ZE:A, which is quite recent. It was a failure, and the organizer company was facing bankruptcy so let's just say, it is really bad. I'm sure ZE:A is not feeling good about the amount of small fans. Well, the date wasn't suitable. I might forgot some events. :X

Coming soon is JYJ showcase, the VIP tix that cost like RM800+ are SOLD OUT! If the VIP tix are a sold out I'm sure the cheaper tickets will be a sold out too! :D Good job Redstar Presents! :D And, not to mention Redstar Presents are the one that brings SuJu for SS2 too! They'll also be the one that will organize SS3 in Malaysia 2011. *excited mode*

Okay, I should stop here and think about how Kpop will brings impact to Malaysians. Will we have more cover groups? I HOPE SO! :D Will we listen Kpop more in radio(s)? I REALLY REALLY HOPE SO! XD
