(UPDATED) How to make a Naver account! (with pictures)
UPDATED 6 Feb 2017: Since this tutorial is very old, the steps aren't actually that much relevant anymore since Naver allows us to sign up using Facebook and Line as well. So for the sake of convenience, it's good to go with one of the two options. :D The normal Sign Up method is also much more easier now. Yayzzzz~~~
Erm HAI there. So I just made a Naver account..for fun. LOL And it was easier and more hassle-free than I thought since I've signed up on Daum and Cyworld before,and both of their registration procedure are pretty ~_~able.

What can you do in Naver?
- Blogging (which I haven't try yet,but I guess the themes are cute)
- A new email address (yourname@naver.com) [which is ~cool~ for Korean wannabes lol]
- Join fancafe (woot woot but need to level up ~_~)
- Share photos (haven't try)
- Search for latest things, read news (but all need you to be fluent in Korean D:)
- Others
✭ Click on the text in bold [and circled in red]
Step 2 : Agree with the terms & condition
✭ After finishing step 1, you'll be redirected to a new page.
✭ Tick all the box
✭ Click on 
Step 3 : Handphone verification / authentication
✭ I forgot to screen-cap one of the popup box, sorry sorry.
✭ Please check your country name in Google Translator or check the country phone code. For Malaysians, our country code number is 60. (lolol @ the feeling of saying 'our country')
Step 3 : Inserting your details
✭ Please fill all empty spaces :)
✭ Translation of the password questions is provided [because I'm a 좋은 사람]

Step 4 : Confirming your details
✭ If everything is correct, click the button in green. :D
Step 5 : End - where you wanna go now? :D

Isn't it easy? :D Unlike Cyworld, you need to scan your passport and all that then have to wait for less than 2 weeks for them to verify it. And in Daum registration they'll (the robot one la) call you and give you the authentication number in Korean. So if you doesn't know numbers in Korean then 끝 for you. XD LOL JK. But yeah, Naver one is more easier since they messaged you instead of calling you where you would have to click 1 so the robot can repeat the numbers they just said (happened to me lolol). But I register for Daum like 1 year ago? So the registration procedure might have changed now. :) Feel free to share this ~tutorial~ with your friends or whoever, as long as you didn't claim it as yours then I don't mind XD

Delete@Shinsatoru: Hello, did you clicked the button next to desired ID button to confirm the availability of your desired ID? That might be the problem.

ReplyDelete@Patricia: Click "비밀번호 찾기" near the login box, in the "본인확인용 정보로 찾기" box, in the first box, choose "MAIL" option (default option) enter your ID, in 2nd box enter your name (in uppercase), in 3rd box enter your email (the one you used for authentication).
After you click "확인" there are two option for you to RESET your password, via email or your phone, click one of them. A popup box will show up and you'll need to click a button there. Check your email and your new password will be there. With the new password login to your Naver account and change the password.
To change your password go to the setting (should be something that looks like a screw next to your id at your naver login/info box), enter your new password, then find & click " 비밀번호변경". After clicking it, enter your current password (the one given by Naver) in the first box, and your new password in the last 2 box.

Maybe you forgot to click the button (that starts with "인중..") below the enter email box/space? They will only send it after you click the button. Otherwise maybe it ends up in your bulk/spam folder. If it still doesn't work then D;, sorry I don't know. :(

In your blog, click on your empty profile picture then you'll be redirected to the Admin page.
DeleteAt '블로그 프로필 사진' (blog's profile picture) click '등록'. In the popup box, click 찾아보기 and then choose your profile picture. The picture maximum size is 500K. And then click '확인'. Wait for the popup box to close then at 블로그 프로필 사진 you'll see your profile picture is there.
If you want different picture when you're commenting, look at 프로필형 덧글 사진 and upload the picture you want in the box next to the first option (should be your uploaded profile picture).
After that, click 확인. A popup box saying '성공적으로 반영되었습니다.' (Your changes has been saved successfully) will appear. Again, click '확인'.
확인/Hwagin means okay or something similar.
Btw sorry for the late reply!

I tried making an account on Naver, and when I received my email from Naver to authorise my thing it said,

Apparently, there's meant to be a box with that written and also captcha within that. (e.g.: "HYA87J" type what you see. Types in HYA87J)
I can't see the captcha and I tried different browsers but it's still not working? Help please!! :(
Oh p.s.: All I see is a "meant to captcha box"... outlined with an x on the top left hand corner?... Is it indicating that the picture is broken? Can you please reply ASAP, thanks.

ReplyDeleteD: I think you'll need to use a new phone number D: They'll only sms you once for the code so I THINK it's okay to use phone number of people you know if you only have one phone number.

I think it says your username is too short. It requires 3-40 characters. Also use caps lock when typing.

Delete2. Find and click '기본정보 수정'. Then enter your password.
3. And then look at the top and click '희원탈퇴'. Then all the explanation about how everything related to your account will be deleted will be shown.
4. There's a tick button at the very end of the page, click that then click the green button below it.

DeleteI think i managed to remember my userID but now i forget the NAME i keyed in long ago. When need to delete, they will ask u to key in your mail, name and password right? do u know how to check for the name portion?
Delete1. Find and click 아이디 / 비밀번호 찾기 at Naver main page
Delete2. Make sure you're in 아이디 찾기, and then check out the right box. There are two option, one is through 메일 (1st button). The 2nd one is not for foreigner as it needs Korean number.
3. Insert your registered name in the first space and your registered email address in the 2nd one. And then click 확인 below it. Your ID will show up with your registration date. Click on the round button then click the green button. Then choose whether your ID will be sent to your email address or cellphone by clicking 인증하기. If you choose receive via email a new button will popup and just click on '이메일로 받기' button. You can then check your email inbox for your ID.
For password recovery just see the comment I replied to above.
For name recovery, I don't know T_T Maybe you could try entering everything you could think of. I tried googling and couldn't find anything too.

Hi, the pop up box says your password is too easy to guess, so please choose a harder password (includes number & capitalization etc)

Hi, to access the link, you need to join the cafe.

2) Fill in the questions asked and then click 가입하기
After that you'll be the cafe's member. But I'm still not sure if you need to level up to read the post in the link.

Deleteok... so i made my account a month ago, and now i forgot the password, plz make a guide on how to recover it... all my email addresses have the same password, so i forgot the one i linked on it too T_T plz help

Delete"Click "비밀번호 찾기" near the login box, in the "본인확인용 정보로 찾기" box, in the first box, choose "MAIL(매일)" option (default option) enter your ID, in 2nd box enter your name (in uppercase), in 3rd box enter your email (the one you used for authentication).
After you click "확인" there are two option for you to RESET your password, via email or your phone, click one of them. A popup box will show up and you'll need to click a button there. Check your email and your new password will be there. With the new password login to your Naver account and change the password.
To change your password go to the setting (should be something that looks like a screw next to your id at your naver login/info box), enter your new password, then find & click " 비밀번호변경". After clicking it, enter your current password (the one given by Naver) in the first box, and your new password in the last 2 box."
Maybe you can try the phone method?
Hi i tried to register from germany but i get an error after i put my code icome to the screen wich says 인증에 성공하였습니다.

After taht I got phone confirmation and I continued... But when I click green button this shows up:

ReplyDeleteI'm currently living in Australia, but for the phone verification dropdown menu I can't seem to find Australia at all (+61). I found +61 but it says it is Cocos Keeling Islands. I have clicked it though, since it is still the right number. The main problem is I have tried every variation in the phone number box (my number with the +61 and also without it) but I have got no confirmation number. I don't know what else to do! Everything else has worked perfectly except for this! Any ideas?
